We needed something to get our kids started off in the right direction everyday. Something they could do independently but still practice all those math and literacy skills we have been working on. My kids love to cut and paste, but the administration at my school wants those activities to be purposeful – not just enjoyable or FUN. With that in mind we tried our best to come up with “purposeful fun“.
The thing I like best about this monthly morning work is the organization. We made five days worth of each of five different skills for a total of 25 pages a month – more than enough. By organizing them this way, they become familiar with the directions and procedures quickly. If we don’t get to one of the pages, I put them in a workstation (center) or send them home for “homework”.

Thanks for visiting The Fun Factory where we have “purposeful FUN”!!
