Research shows that multisensory exploration-based activities are best for brain development. Using a sand/water or “sensory” table encourages higher-level thinking and problem-solving skills, naturally scaffolds learning, builds vocabulary, improves strength in small motor muscles, and allows for exploration, observation and discovery.
