I don’t know about your class but mine needs all of the sight word practice they can get. Of course it has to be “FUN” and not just flashcards. Sooooo….. we made these practice books that they can take home when they are finished with cutting, pasting and writing those pesky words. We wanted something that forced our kiddos to look at the individual letters that make up the word. We also wanted them to recognize the word when it’s surrounded by other words. I will say they have been a big hit. The kids enjoy taking home books that they can read to their parent. (An extra perk is it also lets mom know what to help with!)
Students cut the letters on the bottom of the page and glue them in the boxes, then trace and circle the word in the sentence.
